A little bit about Family Home Evenings

Family home evenings are in origin a mormon practice of having an appointed night each week devoted to family time and scripture study. Typically consisting of prayer, treat, lesson, activity and scripture verses. I have of course taken and adopted this practice for my own family. We hold FHE on tuesdays to even out our week. We usually complete or go over a Y.E.S (Young Enlighted Submitter) lesson or talk about whatever is going on in our lives and seek the Quranic Guidance on that subject. Sometimes we just watch a movie on cable or play some board games but basically the idea is to just spend time as a family and take part in some sort of wholesome family activities for the entire evening without extra curricular activites or other obligations getting in the way.

One Religion ~ Family Home Evening

God is telling us in the Quran,
"The only religion approved by GOD is "Submission." " 3:19
--------------------
"He decreed for you the same religion decreed for Noah,
and what we inspired to you, and what we decreed for
Abraham, Jesus and Moses:
You shall uphold this religion do not divide it."  42:13
God's religion has always been one and the same.
God has sent His messengers with the same message for us -
"Worship God alone".
God's prophets like Noah, Abraham, Moses, Jesus
and Muhammad brought the same message and religion -
"Worship God alone".
Quran
Only those who repent, reform, hold fast to GOD, and
devote their religion absolutely to GOD alone, will be
counted with the believers. [4:146]
_________________
Absolutely, the religion shall be devoted to GOD alone. [39:3]
--------------------
Say, "GOD is the only One I worship, devoting my religion
absolutely to Him alone. [39:14]
--------------------
Therefore, you shall devote yourself to the
religion of strict monotheism.
Such is the natural instinct placed into the people by GOD.
Such creation of GOD will never change.
This is the perfect religion,
but most people do not know. [30:30]
--------------------
He is the Living; there is no god except He.
You shall worship Him alone,
devoting your religion absolutely to Him alone.
Praise be to GOD, Lord of the universe. [40:65]

God's religion is very simple and it is very easy.
We should devote ourselves only to God.
The way to devote ourselves to God is to follow and obey His words.
God has given us His words in His final book - the Quran.
If we obey the words in the Quran, we are practicing God's religion.
If we do not follow His words in the Quran
then we are not practicing God's religion.
